During my undergraduate degree I became passionate about using GIS to prevent disasters across developing states. I thought ‘to ensure that I have the right skills to pursue such as career it would be best to gain theoretical and practical experience from the experts.’

As a result, I began a PhD in Geoinformatics at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and my research is based on conducting a risk assessment of maritime navigation across the Greater Caribbean Region (GCR).
